The Provest^® flexible system of innovative work clothing brings safety and ergonomically designed comfort to professional trades people. It features a unique system incorporating three concepts – a (optional) high visibility safety vest, an integrated harness and back support and detachable pouches.

After 20 years of building by the inventor, chronic back pain led to the development of a system that transfers weight traditionally borne on the lower back to the shoulders and which has an integrated back support, reminding the wearers to lift properly as well as providing comfort.

ACC states that primary prevention occurs by preventing the onset of pain or injury and by reducing and/or eliminating risk facts of injury. Secondary prevention occurs by reducing the level of pain or disablity, preventing or reducing the recurrence of back pain, reducing the level of pain or disability in the medium term. As well as the health and safety benefits related to reducing and eliminating risk factors for injury, feedback from users with chronic back pain has included a noticeable reduction in the level of pain.

The product has been accepted for originality by the New Zealand Intellectual Property Office and has been awarded full patent protection for 20 years.
